DUANEGOAD COMEDIAN

(Biography)
At the age of fifteen when Duane Goad co-hosted his high school talent show, he knew as soon as heard the roar of people laughing what he wanted to do. He wanted to see the girl with one leg dancing to Kylie Minogue fall off the stage again. But, he also felt so comfortable onstage telling jokes he decided then and there that he would be find a way to make it his career. “I never felt like I had that much in common with most kids in school, but onstage I connected with people in a way I couldn’t imagine and they seemed to really enjoy it. Not as much as the girl falling down but a close second. Let’s face it, who doesn’t love physical comedy?”

Duane Goad quickly became one of comedy’s rising young stars when he stepped onstage to compete, and ultimately win, a comedy contest at the legendary Improv Comedy Club. Since then, this in-demand comic has entertained comedy club and corporate audiences all over the US and Canada.

This Seattle-based, Canadian-born comic brings to the stage a fresh and funny take on everything from married life to fatherhood to everything in between.

Besides headlining his own shows, Duane has had the opportunity to be the opening act for some of the top names in comedy such as Jim Gaffigan, Lewis Black, Margaret Cho, Carlos Mencia, and Dana Gould, just to name a few. (But let’s face it, you’ve probably never heard of him until now)

Duane has also been featured in numerous commercials for Microsoft, Nintendo, Bank of America, Ford, Molson Beer, and the FX Network. Other TV appearances include CTV, Comedy Central and E!, as well as the independent film, '80's Ending’.  In March 2010, Duane became the writer and voice of the MSN TV web series “Late Night In Daylight” recapping the previous night’s television talk shows.

Whether he’s performing for audiences of 200 or 2000, Duane Goad is a comedian everyone can enjoy and no one should miss.
